KWRCC Offers
- Emergency safe housing in a 25-bed shelter
- 24-hour crisis line - confidential anonymous support from a trained advocate or volunteer.
- Confidential advocacy and emotional support
- Legal advocacy
- Support groups
- Immigration advocacy
- Outreach for both community and rural areas
- Referrals to resources ( healthcare, housing, counseling, employment, support, etc.)
- Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
- Specially trained to help victims of sexual assault get the care they need, including access to medical and social services
- Should the survivor choose to report to law enforcement, the team can help them access legal services and increase the likelihood that the assault can be successfully prosecuted
- Help victims to collect evidence anonymously so they can make decisions about reporting to law enforcement at a later time
- Donation Room with free clothing, shoes, household items, etc.
Kodiak Women’s Resource and Crisis Center (KWRCC) prohibits the denial of services to individuals on the basis of race/ethnicity, language, sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, (dis)ability, social class, economic status, education, marital status, religious affiliation, political affiliation, immigration or residency status, HIV status, or any other discriminating factor.
If KWRCC services are inappropriate for an individual, referrals to more appropriate services shall be provided to that individual by KWRCC Staff.
